I HATE SUNDAYS

I really do absolutely loathe sundays...the stress...the expectations. I really want to like them because they are one of the two full days of each week that I have the opportunity to spend with my family. Instead I have mornings like today when I end up just wanting to break things...I'm in the market for a new toothbrush. Whoever thought that 9am church was a good idea needs to have their head examined or, at minimum, spend some more time in a household with small children. Same goes for the person who thought up 3 hr long church meetings.

I'm done with Sundays, time to come up with a new name for the day and start over.

Now if I can just get my heart rate down and stop seething I'm going to go and try to forget this morning and just enjoy the time I have with my family.

  1. I hear ya, Sundays can be very stressful and difficult. I was VERY happy when we switched to 11:00 church in January (and am dreading next year when we're back at 9). How about leaving Pip with Tom until the end of July or making a deal where Tom gets Pip ready and you only have to get yourself ready. Although you're out the door before then the rest of the week, so I'm sure you're much better at it than I am since I pretty much am never out the door before then!

  2. Sundays are hard! Some things we've done to ease them are getting deli meat for sandwiches so we have something to look forward to and eat quickly when everyone is starving after church, and not cooking is nice. Sometimes we also get some sort of treat to have for Sunday breakfast-- it motivates everyone to actually get up and going (don't know if it would work for Phillip yet, but looking forward to a nice donut (or whatever) can help ease things. It does get easier once they're in nursery and can sit still longer!
